Jon great to hear that your enjoying the new Mazzer! You must be getting bored of espresso though if you want to experiment with turkish .

Was a pleasure dealing with you and Im happy that your getting a lot of good use out of it and it went to a good home!

Do you have any preferences out of the coffee I sent?

    Grind Safe!

    Roger
    Morning Roger,
Not bored with espresso, Turkish coffee was one of my earlier coffee drinking experiences and thought it would be nice/interesting to revisit.
Likewise Roger, all vendors should be as switched on as you, thanks to your personal attention the transaction was simplicity its self, and the couple of phone conversations during the setup period were much appreciated.
Of the 3 bags of beans you sent with the grinder my preference so far has been for the Espresso blend, have not yet tried the Mocha Jave.
Thanks again for the follow up.

    Cheers,

    Jon.

Ive only just realised there are several versions (not too sharp am I)

    -With time switch
-Automatic with start every 6 doses and stop when the ground coffee doser is full

Set it up on the bench, turned it on, no beans, located true zero then backed it off to what I thought was reasonable, ground a few beans did a comparison with what is working through my Rocky, made a minor adjustment, ground some more and pulled my first shot, a little fine, another tweak, a bit course, wound it down a touch, bingo, how easy was that?
Well, not quite that easy, the grind changed constantly over the course of the first few days, (burrs breaking in I suspect) seems to be settling down now after a kilo or so of beans through it.

awesome man, think im deffs gonna have to get me one now haha.
i like the few updates they have done, maybe im being pedantic, as its an easy home mod, but it would have been nice to see it sweep the doser clean haha.

I Have not had a lot to do with the older models with the exception of the decafe grinder at work and i can say that the sweeper is probably the same?

I have the newer model at home now and i love it!
I side(?)graded over from a Mahlkonig Vario because i kind of felt like i was cheating with the grind on demand

There is a bit more wastage than the Vario but i can deal with that as its only a few cents worth of coffee when your home roasting.

The stainless catch tray is a nice addition and from what i can tell, i have a different hopper to any other Mini i have seen also?

Id put some pics up but im bound for the airport in an hour...when i get back

have you done the sweeper mod? or the sullinator? ;D

Both mods make a huge difference
Not yet Warren, but both mods are on the to do list.
So i take it that the newer model isnt sweeping any better than the previous one?

Had my Mazzer mini for around 6 weeks now and loving it. Was an upgrade to my EMO480 (two died in 3 months and got cash refund which I promptly put towards the Mazzer)

Done the sweeper mod so far.

    Great grinder.
