Hi, Im pretty new to this and have recently bought a hario hand grinder to go with my presso and Breville 800. I have been setting the hario and have found that moving upwards in granularity from choking my machine with too fine grounds - the next setting seems too coarse as Im getting my double pretty quick.
Should I just be aiming to extract 60ml for a double or is there also a timeframe I should be extracting this double in ie 40sec etc...I get my machine is no prosumer but its what I got till I can make it break as an excuse to move upwards.. cheers.
Also - for home machines of lesser quality - should I reduce tamp pressure maybe?
