  • COMPAK K3 Touch HELP PLEASE!! :)

    Hello,

In the chute of Compak K3T there is plastic rubber in which I feel it blocks the ground to come out. Also have no idea what is this for? To break Clump? :-?

I already did the search in this forum, it seems no advice whether or not to remove thes plastic things. Some says just leave it like that.

WIth this rubber thing, I think about 10%-15% of the beans I put have been left in the machine (only 85% come out of the chute).

    Any update advice?

    Thanks a lot

    Your right on both accounts.....

But there is another reason for it..

A little tap and only the grinds in the chute fall; thus you dont get a big mess.

AND yep it is a hard piece of soft plastic at that

    GUESS WHAT..

For grinds to come out... The sweep area has to be full of ground beans...  Other wise there is no pressure to force the grinds out.

Guess what... That first coffee of a morning always did taste different  :  Stale grinds from the night before...

PS.  I removed it ASAP from my unit...

But if yours is under warranty...  You may need to check with ya supplier...

      HI AM,

Thanks for your advice re: compak K3T.

Just wonder would it be ok if removed that rubber out? (no warranty to worry). Will I get big clump out of then?

I really dont like this rubber as you said there will be lots of old grind left in the machine. This also makes me so difficult to dial in the correct ground as the new set up ground will not come out straight away until the old grind all came out

      Any suggestion?

      Thanks,
      C
