  • Mazzer Mini noise issues.

When I bought my Mazzer Mini a few months back I installed it on the bench turned it on and my first reaction was how much quieter it was than my old Rocky.
Almost four months have passed, the machine has well and truly settled in and the rubberised??? feet have compacted to the point that the grinder is causing the bench to act like a sound board, so my almost silent grinder has become a bit of a noisy vibrating beast, bugger.
This morning I cut out 4 approx 10mm discs from some 5mm neoprene wet suit material I happen to have laying around and placed them under the original feet, the result was remarkable, if anything the machine is running quieter than it was originally, GREAT SUCCESS ;D

4-6mm thick silicone rubber works a treat too....

Such a simple easy fix! I would have been very surprised if it had not been done before.

The Mazzer Major was pretty heavy and did not cause a noise problem
So did not see the need to make soft shoes for it

The BNZ is slightly quieter though

Trust me KK, I aint tellin fibs, it was definitely an issue, and the neoprene solved it in one, perhaps its to do with bench construction.
And no, theres nothing wrong with the grinder, quiet as a mouse once isolated from the bench.

Not necessary with the Kony either but worked quite well with earlier grinders we owned....
