Hey guys
I bought a Sunbeam EM6910 + EM0480 & some fresh Merlo beans over the weekend. Ive used this machine/grinder/coffee combo heaps in the past & am very familiar with it. Straight out of the box the grinder ground waaayyyy too fine (to the point where I couldnt even extract more than a few drops of espresso, even on the most coarse setting). Did a bit of searching & read about the spacers. Called Sunbeam & they also suggested the spacer trick.
So I went and bought some, chucked them in last night & now the thing wont grind at all. Well it grinds, but the ground coffee just piles up on top of the burrs rather than dropping down the chute & into the basket like it should. I pulled the spacers back out & it grinds (but is obviously too fine) so this problem is obviously caused by the spacers.
Anyone got any ideas? Ive got a replacement on order but itll take a week & Im nowhere near that patient.
