I am now the proud owner of an old Robert Timms Supermarket coffee grinder.
Its a little the worse for wear but, given that it probably dates back 20 - 30 years, I its done remarkably well - and it certainly does grind coffee.
I have to admit that, while I like a drop of the brew, Im no expert ... and thats what brings me here. The adjustable grinder is labelled Coarse, Medium, Fine, Ultra Fine and I really dont know what grind from this machine would go with what method of making coffee. I can say that the Ultra Fine isnt Turkish, for example, but it seems to have worked fine in my dripolator. I can grind a little on each level and photograph it, if that would help.
Also, does anyone know if these sorts of grinders can be adjusted so that they would be more in keeping with todays tastes?
