Re: New grinder or not?
Just been trying to pick up a cheapish grinder in NZ and searched the net over there.
OMG expencive!!! way more than the exchange rate difference.
IE for the Mazers you could littlerally get on a plane (Assuming you flew a budget airline) visit Chris from talk coffee, Twist his arm, buy your spanking new grinder, talk coffee, fly home and have change.
and it looks like there are no imprt duties so long as its for you personally (tho the NZ customs webite is very vague)
Im sure a CS member would meet you at the airport and run you to see Chris.

Re: New grinder or not?
I live in NZ so the choices here are more restricted. Im still new to roasting my own beans and thought when I bought my grinder it was going to be more than good enough for a year or two until I needed to upgrade and was more experienced in bean roasting etc.

Re: New grinder or not?
How much do you have in your account? ;DOriginally posted by 4B4340454D58442C0 link=1293495908/0#0 date=1293495908which one without breaking the bank?
Generally, the more you spend on a grinder the better it will be, and the less likelihood that you will want to upgrade yet again.
Decide on your maximum budget and if that takes you outside the appliance price range you can email all Sponsors to see whats on offer. Alternatively, there are often some good 2nd hand grinders up for sale on this forum.

New grinder or not?
I have the Delonghi KG100 grinder bought new 2 months ago before I joined this forum and it seems this grinder is not good enough. If I updated it to the Sunbeam EM0480 or 0450 model would this make enough difference or am I better waiting to upgrade to another grinder. If so which one without breaking the bank? The Sunbeams are on offer and I should be able to sell my KG100 without losing too much.Tags: None
