Nice work on the Kony and helful post! Thanks for the disassembly pictures. I second the comments that you are a brave man.

I just got myself a second-hand Major E. No user manual came with. I could figure out the basic use and programming of the doses but they are a few things I cant do like reset the counter. Do you know how to do it? Is it in the manual?

This isnt covered in the manual but theres probably a secret sequence of buttons that need to be pressed.

If you want to reset it to ZERO - then the only way to do it is to sit there and press the double button until the clock winds back to 0000.

Just place a post it note of the current reading as a reference for yourself.

Sorry to dig an old thread up, managed to get a used kony e for a pretty good deal - figured I may as well give it a lick of fresh paint while I was opening it up for a clean!

Doesn't look like clint has posted in a while so hoping someone can help, can not for the life of me figure out how to take out the gold ring, anyone got any tips on process to remove it?

I think replies 4 and 5 might be of assistance.
I don't have practical knowledge, just seems like the step you are up to.
