    Thanks a lot, Mal,

I will give it a try once I find something can sit the plastic thingy.

    Really appreciate for your advice.

    Colin

Something that might make it a bit easier to press out, would be to hit the inside of the burr with some freeze spray to get it really cold so that it shrinks a little bit. Then try to press or gently tap it out. Looking at your photo, it appears as though there is a 'flat' on one side of the burr to lock it into place and prevent it spinning. A bit simpler than separate grub screws...

    Thanks, Dimal,

I have looked around the top part, there is a hole, and I was also thinking maybe its for grub screw.

End up I can not see anything hold the burr.

The attached photo is the part I want to replace.

I will give it try again (with press out), see how it goes.

    G'day Colin...

I think it will need to be pressed out, if memory serves; but I can't remember whether the Isomac fixed burr is locked into place with grub screws...

    Mal.

I am also trying to replace the burr of my isomac professionale.

I can successfully remove the bottom part of the burr, but stuck in removing top one.

I wonder if there is any suggestion?

Re: How to replace Isomac Gran Macinino grinders

When I first read the topic, the immediate answer that came to mind is:

    1) Sell it.
    2) Buy yourself a large conical like Kony-e or K10WBC.
....without a doubt the best way to replace your Isomac grinder! :P

all tongue in cheek - glad you solved your problem, Coopers.

The nuts on conical grinders are usuallu a left hand thread which means you turn it the opposite way to undo it.

So it will probably undo by turning it clockwise which on a normal screw/bolt would tighten it.

How to replace Isomac Gran Macinino grinders

Help please.  Have decided to replace my grinders on my Gran Macinino and have come unstuck when trying to replace the concial grinder.  Unable to work out how to remove as it rotates around a centre shaft and held on by a nut.
Anybody have one of these and can provide some guidance.
Working...
