One word of caution - if you remove the bottom burr just make sure you replace the spring washer when reassembling.  I somehow didnt notice I hadnt even replaced it and the nut worked loose during a grind  :-[

I know - maybe Im the loose nut  8-)
Hi, what does this Spring washer look like? I dont recall fitting anything else besides shims when I cleaned mine out.

      Looks similar to this:

It sits between the bottom burr and the nut.

When I was shimming mine up, sometimes some shims were stuck inside the bottom burr recess, so give it a tap to dislodge any that may be up there when you take off the burr, so they dont fall out without noticing.

      Cheers

Yep, definitely had to put that back in. Silly me thought it was a cracked shim and left it aside.

        Thanks so much artman! /thumbsup

My shimming instructions said to throw the spring washer away. lol. Good thing I put it aside in a safe place.

Now if only I could remember where the safe place is...

Oh and I find that the best way to clean old grinds out is with a vacuum cleaner. It seems to get it all and much easier than brushing

            I haven’t used any Grindz.

I added one shim to the 3 originally installed. I didn’t find any washers below the nut. Perhaps they fell on the floor. The machine is working perfectly.
