Re: Under a Mazzer Mini-E, Over a K3P
Well, Just as a final point on this post, I kinda jumped the gun a little before I realised just how much money I had in the budget. While I was looking semi-seriously at the Macap M4, it was slightly out of my adjusted budget (and yes, I was resigning myself to living with a doser)
So, for the price I had, I had to go with the K3, Given that I couldnt see the point to having a doser (and the doser models are above my new improvised budget) it was either going to be the K3push, or the K3touch... so I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a K3touch, given that Id be waiting a month or so for the K3push to arrive back in stock.
Now on to learning how to use this new beast!

Re: Under a Mazzer Mini-E, Over a K3P
Hey Laughing@Fate,
congrats on the upgrade opportunity! i was in your position about 6 months ago, there was a great opportunity to aquire a Giotto premium from a customer who had recently upgraded to a gs3. While the machine was a bargain too good to pass up, it also meant that i had to include in my budget a capable grinder, and seeing as i was used to using mazzer roburs at work, naturally i wanted to stick with a mazzer.
After speaking to a couple of sponsors, namely Dennis at Cuppacoffee, i started to consider the possibility of a K3t, thats when i stumbled accross Greg Pullmans comparison review of the K3t and the Mazzer Mini.
I ended up going for the K3, and am very happy with my choice.
I think with the k3, its not so much that its the best grinder for around $500, it seems to be more that its a grinder that for $500 is as good as anything up to and including the Mazzer.
Happy hunting, and keep us posted on your choice!

Under a Mazzer Mini-E, Over a K3P
It seems that due to a small bit of luck, Im in the market for a Coffee Grinder, I understand that the best deal for grinders under $500 would be the K3P.
However, I was wondering, is there something better then the K3 available for home use that fits in under the $800 price point?
Or is the gains achieved at that level too minute for someone to bother with
Im currently using a Sunbeam EM0360 So pretty much ANYTHING at this point would be an improvementTags: None
