Re: Hand Grinders?
Baccarat makes a good perspex one (I am sure I posted this on here before). Not sure where you can get them though.
Peter at SC here in Adelaide seems to have a few. I am thinking of investing in one for myself.

Re: Hand Grinders?
Hi Sunbeamer. I have a few grinders and have no hesitation in recommending the zassenhaus - they have a stepless adjustment and you can grind almost as fine as dust if you like. You will need to fill the hopper a couple of times to get enough grounds to fill a portafilter, so dont expect any decent handgrinder to be fast. A bit exie new, they come and go on the bay that cant be mentioned.
You should be able to pick up a good one for $50 delivered...see below. FYI the 2 grinders on the right are both Zasses.

Re: Hand Grinders?
I bought one of the antique looking hand grinders that are all over ebay. Does a moderately good job, easily fine enough for a moka pot, probably not so tight on the particle sizes produced.
Ive only used it a little bit, so the only issue I have with it so far is with how long it takes and how noisy it is. At $30, it didnt break the bank, and it looks pretty cool sitting above a cupboard in the kitchen.

Re: Hand Grinders?
Most stores will have stock by June.
We will carry the "Espresso" model. I imagine they will be every where very soon.
It will be available on our wensite as soon as I can hold one!

Re: Hand Grinders?
zassenhaus or trespade are some common ones ive seen.
i heard there may be new zassenhaus grinders in the near future... apparently they have not shutdown yet...
but yes, you can get a few off evilbay and at kitchenware shops. been looking at a GSI camping coffee grinder, but its only off a US company unfortunately. havent seen it around

Not sure - there are some still available, and Presso was looking at importing them so it might do to contact him.

Hand Grinders?
evening all
I am wanting to get hold of a decent non electrical grinder to take camping with me to either feed a french press or moka pot, but I seem to come up blank with a search :-[
can anybody point me in the direction of where to look or brands to look for?
there seem to be lots available online but there isnt a lot of info on them or quality
I could power my EMO450 but I am pretty sure I wouldnt hear the end of it from my fishing buddies
;D
