How about getting a couple of nuts from Bunnings and then put the screws back. Thatll close the holes if it bothers you...

Best advice is dont worry about it, shouldnt be a problem with air getting in there seeing you should be grinding fresh anyway

I actually think a stop gate plug would look worse.

The screws dont actually screw into the doser they go through it and screw into recesses in the guard.
Im confused - You had to unscrew the timer but have screw holes in the doser??? How about posting a pic so we can see whats going on?

Cant you just put the screws back in?

My Macap has 3 screws in the front to hold the plastic tamper.
You can put more left or right.
Whichever way you choose youre left with one screw doing nothing.
I never put mine on so just have the 3 screws in place.
    Looks better than 3 holes.

Well turns out my super jolly timer required unscrewing. Thing is, now i have two holes in the side of the doser. :-/

Some mazzers require you to unscrew the finger guard off...some dont...my bad

you can take it off...it just slides upwards being held in by those screws. no need to unscrew the screws.
Hmm... maybe mine is different but it looks like you have to unscrew them. I tried to give it an upward tug but no such luck : Ill try a little later and see how i go :-/
Suggest you DO use a screw driver - at least for the 1st time. Then when you have the hopper safely off you can check out whether yours has an option to slide. Dont tug! :P
