    Re: Azkoyen Capriccio Automatic Grinder

    Hi Gents,

I have just acquired an Azkoyen Capriccio grinder and I have noticed some weird sound
once you put the portafilter against the switch that initiates the grinding process.
This very loud clack-sound first reminded me on a bad short circuit but it seems to
be a mechanical process in the grinder itself.

Could anybody give me an explanation for that sound - is it normal?

Would you see any possibility to replace the standard burrs with ceramic Ditting blades?

Soon I am going to compare a Mazzer Robur E (doserless), a brand new Elektra Nino
(on its way to me) and the just acquired Azkoyen.

    Best from Germany,
    - Malte

The "clack" is the sound of the flaps to the chute opening - this actually allows the coffee to drop in your group handle. Completely normal and just a different sound to the "thwack" that dosing grinders make.

        Re: Azkoyen Capriccio Automatic Grinder

        Thanks for clarification.

Does anybody knows the routine to change from pre-grind to grind-on-demand mode?

My grinder is currently set to pre-grind and Id like to change that.

        Many thanx,
        - Malte

            Hi Malte.
Is there anything new, from the Robur-Nino, "competition", you said above?
I ask because I want to buy one of these for my home.(Yes one of these crazy people).
            Regards from Greece,
            Theodore.
