I have owned it for about 3 years and used it only lightly but confess Inever thought about taking it apart because the book says it will void the warranty.
I was grinding about 150 gms of coffee into a bag when the grinders gripped together. I was going to take it for repair but I then found cleaning instructions plus a video. I did as instructed and found it very clogged (hopper as well) and the stop screw had bent to 90 degrees. I found several screw in the shed of similar thread and tried several of different lengths, it was hard to judge the correct length from the mangled screw. On the fourth try the screw seems about right.
I put it back together trying to set the zero point but the screw only allows for the dial to be set at about 3. I have a feeling it may have always been this, after all the dial is only stuck on. I do not hear any zero sound of the grinders just scrapping as mentioned in references.
I used to have the grinding setting at about 6-8 before.
How do I know if it is set correctly and that the grinders are not damaged or worn? (I will try some coffee this evening as I had none) :-/
Thank you
