Hey, thanks guys for the info, much appreciated.
I saw the link to the video but completely missed the one at barista which was probably the most helpful.
Getting a dowel into the discharge chute to stabilise things seems a bit better bet too.

I wouldnt use the method that he is using to lock the motor shaft though (risks upper bearing damage)... Far safer to identify a short piece of wooden dowel that will fit through the discharge chute and brace against one of the grounds slingers.....
