Re: Differences between CC and RR 45?
I have the conical, which is HUGE.Originally posted by 7F777F787274160 link=1279001123/2#2 date=1279004663It is for my kitchen, so its an overkill, but I hope its the last grinder I buy for a long time SmileyI will look at a smaller hopper too, to keep the WAF from falling too low!
The two you are looking at are only a little shorter.
It will probably be the last grinder you will need to buy.

Re: Differences between CC and RR 45?
Hi ianindb
As chances would have it we have a GR RR45 2009 model on the bench at the moment in brand new condition without packaging and only 22 pulls on the doser counter. Yes these grinders do strangely log every pull you do on them.
I have video and photo footage of the machine if you would like to know more about the grinder and would be happy to send through for you to get familiar with the RR45.
You are correct in your assumption that it has an automatic feature with auto cut off switch.
Happy to answer any queries you have on other functions of the grinder.
Kind Regards,
Roger Bright

Re: Differences between CC and RR 45?
I saw the CC45 back in SA last yr. It was a new one the Boema agent was selling (rebadged GR). It is a nicer shape and has a more modern feel than the RR45 which I have. It was said to be a bit quieter too. Other than looks I do not think they changed anything. Have a play with it and see what you think. If you have a Boema agent in Darwin give him a call for some info., and perhaps view any they have in stock.
You can also give Boema a call, they provide wonderful service and are a wealth of information. Parts for the grinder are easily obtainable from a few places, including Coffee Parts. The grinder is quite easy to take apart and clean.
Good luck with your purchase.

Re: Differences between CC and RR 45?
thanks, I did see that page, but the only differences were size and colour. I guess thats it.
It is for my kitchen, so its an overkill, but I hope its the last grinder I buy for a long time
I will look at a smaller hopper too, to keep the WAF from falling too low!
Im not sure how the different doser "outlets" will work for me, but I guess I just have to see
Either way it will be better than what I have.

Re: Differences between CC and RR 45?
Type into Google: Gino Rossi RR45 and you will come up with a non sponsor.
They have pictures of both the CC and RR on their website. CC has a newer shape hopper.
If you can buy it second hand for less than half the rrp and the unit is in good condition then you have yourself a very good grinder that will last many years in a domestic situation. These are commercial grinders, built like a tank and weigh a tonne. Not everyones cup of tea, but I have had mine for a while and it does the job, no complaints.

Differences between CC and RR 45?
Hi all,
Im pretty close to buying a GR xx45 - just refining the details a bit!
Im not having much luck finding the difference between the CC45 and RR45 though - are there any functional differences apart from shape? Do they change much over time?
I believe they both have an automatic doser refill, right?
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks
