I ended up with a K10 Push. It's a beauty and my shots have leaped a level.

Loving my Compak E10 OD too, it's definitely a step change from my old super jolly. LED lights at either side of the chute and portafilter holder are definitely very nice touches.

I stop worrying about grind retention. Coffee tastes mighty fine even without purging in humid tropical weather.

I have the Compak E10 and agree with talk coffee that the interface is better, and I'm using the single dose hopper.

I realise though that a lot of people seemed to be terrified of the dreaded retention, it's never been something I've ever been concerned about with my Kony-E...
If retention is such a huge bugbear though, why not look at the Elektra Nino, reputed to have next to no retention whatsoever...

    Mal.

Being a Nino owner, I can confirm that there is virtually no retention and it is a fantastic grinder, however I agree with Mal- retention is not such a big issue and certainly shouldn't be a prime decider when making such a purchase. Consistency and repeatability are far more important factors which pretty much any Titan conical will give you.

OK, after lots of reading it seems grind retention is a problem for all 3....

Old thread but I'm happy to revive it.
    I'm finally going conical - M7D K10 or Kony.
Nice choice now, but what should I go for?
Looks of all are good to me.
Grind retention will be the deciding factor. I expect the M7D wins there .....

    Thanks.

I was just wondering how tall it would be with one of my non-patented stainless hoppers!

I NEVER PUT MY HANDS ANYWHERE NEAR OPERATING MACHINERY SUCH AS THIS. Thats why despite working on cars, lathes, and lots of power saws, etc. I still have all my appendages.

    Greg

How tall is it without the hopper?
    Hi Greg,

This is a grinder which I would NEVER operate without a hopper. Have a gander at that augur over the burrs

There is a guard in the hopper to keep delicate fingers out. Modify at your own risk

    Hmmmm...bit of a monster!

Still, if I buy some of those cups on top of the shelves at Attilios (shown in the background of the photo) maybe I can pull off some sort of optical illusion... ;D ;D ;D

Sniff.....sorry no "gun metal" models, only chrome.

Greg, the grinder stands 380mm from bench top to top of adjusting ring (ie without a hopper on).

Comparo foto of M7 vs M4 below. You will have a hard time explaining how you fed growth hormones to the M4 and got a ...... 7?????? ;D

    Hope that helps,
