Hi all,
First time poster long time listener here. I purchased my first espresso machine around 2 years ago, a bodum granos, and its been working quite well. At first I was just buying pre-ground coffee but after some research here and elsewhere that noted grinding your own would improve the coffee experience I purchased a grinder off eBay. It is a Grimac and this sucker is HUGE. The pictures on eBay didnt do it justice and I got one hell of a surprise when it landed on my door. In fact it has to live in the garage as there is no way it would fit in the kitchen (actually I think I could make it fit but my wife thinks its too ugly
Anyway, Ive been quite happily grinding away for the last 12 months or so without making any changes to the grinder at all. I had some friends over on Christmas eve and whilst making coffee one of the noted that there wasnt much creme produced and that perhaps my grind was a little too course. Now Im open to constructive criticism so after I had disposed of his body I decided to look into his claims and have a play with the grinder. My problem is that all I received when I purchased the grinder was......the grinder. No manual, no box, nothing.
So my problem is I have no idea what to do with this grinder to change the grind.
Is a higher number finer or is a lower number finer?
Where the hell do you align the number to on the grinder body?
Im not sure if I have over-wound the grinder adjustment so Im not even sure the number even make sense any more!
Would anyone happen to have a manual for this behemoth? I would be enormously grateful for any information anyone could pass on.
Thanks very much,
Greg.
