    Yeah, painting plastic that is regularly handled doesn't generally work so well

    Thank you!

    I had left over yellow paint from plastic modelling so I decided to paint the power knob and the grind adjustment. As for the black surround, I just cleaned it with rubbing alcohol.

    BUT I'm stripping the yellow paint off the knob as it gets quite sticky and stained with coffee. I think I'll just have it bare plastic...

    Looks nice!! Would be a nice match if you could add the same colour to a few bits of the giotto that might be easy to source so you can return easily to original, eg centre of steam/water knobs.

    I have finally finished the project. New paint and new burrs... I am very happy

    Yes, I couldve gone with black or the usual. I wanted people to look at the grinder and ask me questions - then I can proudly say "I painted it!".

    - I have finished clear coat. Hopefully wetsanding and buffing will bring shine to it... :-?

    Ill post some new photos today. Its really bright, very similar to that of an "Isocol" bottle. The paint I used was acrylic so there is no shine. but Im spraying clear coat today and wetsanding+buffing.
