Hi there,
Im newbie in term of coffee and recently I have purchased my own espresso machine after getting some basic skills in coffee making. However there is a problem which I can't solve till now. So I hope you guys out there can provide me with some solutions.
I noticed that I have to keep changing the settings on my Sunbeam EM0480 constantly every time I use different varieties of beans or when the beans sit in there for a certain time.
For example, the coffee shop that I bought the beans from recommends me to use Setting 3 to grind all their beans. But I found out that it is too fine and the machine struggling to pump the espresso out. I thought I might use too much but that's not the case. I followed the instruction that sunbeam teaches me. Just use enough till you see the metal bit of the tamper. And I only apply approx 10 kg force on it which got taught by my barista trainer. However it is not the case when I use Setting 5.
When the beans sit in there for several days (less than a week), sometimes I have to use Setting 4 or 6 to get the espresso that I wanted. Is it something to do with the freshness of the coffee beans?
This is frustrating and confusing at the same time. I try to googled these issues but nothing really helps.
Hope to hear from you guys soon..!!!
