  • Anyone used a Bezzera BB05 Grinder?

    Hey,

I purchased a Rancilio silvia last week, and now I'm looking at buying a grinder. The place that I purchased the Rancilio from sells Bezzera grinders. I've tried searching the internet for reviews about this grinder, but can't find anything. If not my other option was the Sunbeam em0480 or maybe the Rocky. I have read that the em0480 can develop problems with grind consistency in the long run. If anyone can help give some feedback on Bezzera grinder or opinions that would be great!

Hi, I'm from Germany and did just order this grinder.
I had to choose between K3, BB005 or Eureka and choosen the Bezerra as there are so many positive expreriences and receptions in the german coffee forum (kaffee-netz.de). It uses a big conical grinder (48mm) and a slow whirling motor.
My impression from all the posts I've read is that it even outstands the K3 as it does not produce any clumpy results.

If needed I can post some pictures from my grind when the grinder arrives here tomorrow evening.

    Cheers,

    Gerrit

I have had the bezzera bb004 for almost a year. It grinds at minimum 1kg per month at home. Its amazing. The grinds seem even, my doser doses about 4g per hit. Usually 5 doses and wipe over leaves me with pretty close to 18g in the basket every time.

This machine made my coffee taste wayyyy better. Highly recommend.

hey guys, just joined the forum few days ago & been enjoying reading up some of the posts here.

I have been looking at the BB005 after doing some research for a semi-commercial grinder that's cost effective yet great. I read somewhere that its suitable to grind 1kg in an hour. Now this one's got 48mm conical, 100W motor @ 900rpm vs 54 flat, 225 W @ 1345 rpm on the K3 Push doserless - yet I couldn't really find if the K3 will run cooler/better and can grind 1kg or more in a hour..what's the catch if any on the BB005..or am I missing something here..

the purpose is to be able to grind 250g in one go occasionally when not using for home use. Is there also any other makes/models that might be suitable in the ~$500 range? I also use espresso & percolator grinds the most. Thanks in advance!

Hi Gerrit.. posted a query below about the BB005 a few days back, but haven't got a bite yet. Do you know much about what I'm asking? Thanks!

I have been about to pull the trigger on the Bezzera too. Appliances Online have had it as low as about $370 with free shipping. It fluctuates all the time in price. Then I saw the Lelit PL43MMI for $369 at Jetblack and now I'm confused....The Lelit looks every bit as good...
