I mean just below the collar...the straight edge.

Im not too sure on that Wushoes.
That line across the top of the chute looks pretty straight; if it was a reflection of the collar shouldnt it have more of a curve to it?

The chute is not open at top unlike the supplied graphic.
The photo doesnt show the chute with an open top. It is merely reflecting the collar of the grinder.

Isnt it a tad higher in price than a Rocky?

    Why did you say replaced?
Yes TG- its more expensive. As I am led to understand, Anfim (the manufacturer) produces motors and other bits for Mazzer- so yes, its more expensive but should be long lived.

Its replaced my Rocky...so I have my trusty mazzer mini doser as my #1 grinder and the KS as a cupping/plunger/travel grinder..

I have pulled about 10 shots now and am happy to give this grinder a thumbs up- it really is quiet and the grind consistency is great- as per Best doser grinder. Throughput is about the same as a Mazzer mini.....Overall, not bad and a whole lot better looking than the Rocky which its replaced

    ECM KS doserless grinder

I received my demo model this morning...

Initially, build quality looks great with particularly nice finish of the fork and grind on demand hardware. I reckon the fork is too close to the p/f as shipped but 2 self-tappers attach it. Pre-drilled holes in the fork allowed me to drop it by 5mm or so....Perfect! Exposed edges at the top of the spout/chute a fraction rough. The chute is not open at top unlike the supplied graphic.

The hopper is removable with a slide to retain beans as per ECM Best and the stepped adjustment has small steps. The slide could be better finished. Dregs tray is broadly "U" shaped without cutouts for the feet. I have ditched mine in favour of my rubber tamping mat.

Its quiet and sounds "pro" in operation. Definitely quieter than the K3T, Mazzer mini and on par with Macap M5. There is a little clumping and little/no observable static. Its also much, much cleaner in operation than a Rocky.

    Specs:
    380H x 135W x 170D
    Motor 300W with 100W output
    Noise level <60dB(A)
    50mm flat blade
    5 kg
    Removable hopper with slide
    Dregs tray (not shown)...

They are on sale now at $595 with complimentary delivery until 11 May....

I can see it fine now!  Photo hosting server must be back online.

Im guessing it is the yet-to-be-released ECM Best doserless.

    Looks great!

All I see is a small box with a red x on it.

The photo hosting server must have run out of bandwidth.
