Can you please clarify the grind time claim of 7 seconds. The video on the profitec fb site seems to show 25+ seconds to grind 1shot?

I've got my demo T64 set to 6.7 seconds currently for an 18g VST pulling nice slow double ristrettos on our E61 equipped demo machines. The video you're referring to is in slow-mo! Not sure why'd they'd choose to show it in slow motion ... Nice effect but a little misleading if one of the main features of this new grinder is speed!!!

Charlie the weird part is that the time that i was quoting was from the display on the front of the profitec grinder in the video. Any ideas?

Grrrrrr. Just noticed the decimal point on the grinder screen

Yes, the timer in the video has a decimal point which you may not have noticed due to the video quality. So it is displaying 2.X seconds and then 1.X seconds rather than 20 seconds plus. They've slowed the video by about 10x too so it's even more deceptive.

Have searched the interwebs - can't find any reviews or even videos other than the slow-mo. What do you think this would compare to in the Mazzer range in terms of grind quality?

Ps. On the sides of the grinder are the 27 black dots in the profitec logo actually ventilation holes? If so, I would be concerned about the effect on internals from accidental liquid splashes over time from such an exposed area.

It looks like the ECM grinder new badge (sister is profetic's sister company after all), same count down time, bur diameter only difference besides the case is the instead of just exit chute it has a coffee hopper (sorry don't know the technical name for it) The motor is vented on the ECM grinders at the back, even the aluminium casting for the motor had fins to assist with motor heat dissipation.

Look up the ECM 64 grinder has a couple youtube videos of the internals motor etc.

Not holes, just cut-outs in the stainless panel, solid side panel behind that
