Ha ha, you are welcome to copy the scraper. As you may have found if its to long it will buzz on the burr carrier. Just use soft plastic so you don't wreck anything. I use a small paintbrush dedicated to cleaning the grinder out for cleaning out the doser. You can adjust the hieght/volume of the dose but not how close it is to the floor. On my old Rocky I made little felt sweepers for 2 of the fins. That worked pretty well. This MD 50 sweeps pretty clean anyway so I haven't modded it yet.Originally posted by tjb1013 View PostAlso love the scraper! Going to figure out how to copy that before you patent it.
I'm on Day 1 of a used MD50, and tight on beans myself. How do you sweep off the shelf in the doser? The one that the star sweeps the coffee from? I get quite a bit of coffee in there and it is a slight pain to brush it out between the arms of the star. Is there an adjustment to make it sweep closer to the shelf?

I'm just using a little kids paint brush for clearing out the chute now, works fairly well, and I use that in the doser too. When I'm feeling a bit engineerish and artistic I might try to make your scraper.Originally posted by Macasaurus View PostHa ha, you are welcome to copy the scraper.
