      Hi Chris,

Is the folding handle the only difference compared to the Lido E ?

      Thanks.

...and no dosing funnel. I miss it, but then there is other ways of transferring to my smaller Pavoni and LaSpaz filters

Hi Chris, does it come with the neoprene travel bag? You list different inclusions on your site to the OE site.

I am looking for a hand grinder to go with my Handpresso at work and travel. I have a Hario Skerton, but it just doesn't get fine enough. So I have been taking preground from home.

My apologies Caps- it was a quick item copy from the Lido E and I failed to alter the inclusions.

We sell it as per OE spec and it's now correctly listed.

              Cheers

              Chris

Lido E-T grinder have arrived and the photos just don't do them justice!

The E series better locates the burr set for increased precision and the thread pitch is way finer on the adjustment mechanism for a much larger espresso zone: http://www.talkcoffee.com.au/shop/oe-lido-e-t-grinder/

Wow! Just recieved mine in less than 24hrs since ordering. 2 shots and it is dialled in. Thanks Chris, it is a quality piece of kit. It is my first Lido and it feels a bit heavier than I expected, but this just adds to quality feel. Produces a beautiful fluffy grind, it is quick and very quiet for a hand grinder. It feels wrong calling it just a 'hand grinder'. It is really impressive!

The surprise you put in the package was magic too! Can't thank you enough.

Not surprised at the praise for the OE grinders as I have a Lido3 myself

They are so nicely made & easy to use..But best of all of course is the grind quality
                    Excellent

                      Hi All,
I travel with the Otto ("little guy"), is the Lido ET or Lido 3 the best travel companion for it?
                      Thanks in advance

                        Hi

I would tend to the ET as you get the same travel features as the 3 but have a grinder more suited to espresso.

I had an E, and swapped it for a 3 for travel, but on reflection probably should have stayed with the E.

While I was matching the 3 to Aeropress or drip for travel, once you lose the espresso range adjustability of the Es you do miss it when you occasionally want to grind finer.

I have recently been using the 3 with a Little Guy at home. While the Little Guy tends to the coarser end of the espresso range, you still would benefit from the finer adjustability available from the ET.

Although the 3 is OK once dialled in for a bean, I am home roasting in small batches and like trying different beans, so have frequent changes. You can always go coarse on the Es without any great difficulty, but conversely the grind range on the 3 for espresso use would, IMO, definitely be more challenging.

                        Hope this helps.

I have found OE product development very frustrating. I had an original Lido and changed to a 2 when it was released. They then bought out the 3 with its travel features which I would have liked. I later bought an E, and lo and behold, they then bought out the ET!

PS A long shot I know, but anyone want to swap an ET for a 3?

Yeah if its to be used exclusively or predominantly for espresso range grinding that's what I'd recommend.

I was under the impression you could swap out the handle.
