To the best of my recollection the shot counter was there in the first version of the software. Only the user interface (display graphics for grind selection) changed slightly. If yours is not allowing for language etc, it points to a defective board.
    Hi Chris,

It seems to be working ok apart from missing the options from the menu, I can only see Prog 1,2,3, D.T.S, Date, Release version, Exit while rotating the silver button.

What are costs to replace the board should it fails in the future?

I've just looked at mine and it says Release 1.8 (I guess that means v.1.8). I don't see how you could update the firmware, as there is no USB or other port.

    Macap M4d firmware

    Hi,

I've just bought a used Macap m4d today and noticed the firmware is of version 1.02 as shown on the LCD, wondering if it is possible to upgrade to the latest version? as it does not seem to have features such as language settings, dose counters etc.

    Thanks.
Working...
