Is he doing any grinding at all between emptying the hopper and refilling it? How low is the level of the beans when he empties it and how high is he filling it again? I know it's a small hopper but it still has an effect. Is it the standard hopper or a different one? I've also got the smaller round hopper as well as the standard odd shaped hopper.

Thanks for that, no one was able to help me so I ended up importing my new Eureka Atom 75 from Europe. Massive delivery charge and import taxes, but I think it's been worth it!Originally posted by Dimal View PostG'day mate...

So no local distributors are importing these to Aus? That's disappointing.Originally posted by EzLau View PostThanks for that, no one was able to help me so I ended up importing my new Eureka Atom 75 from Europe. Massive delivery charge and import taxes, but I think it's been worth it!

Eureka Atom
Past my 2 year anniversary with the Eureka Atom now so time for some cleaning pictures. 5132 doubles (approx 19g per double); 361 singles (approx 9-10g single); So at least 102kg of coffee ground. Add an extra kg or two over that time for manual mode.
Still loving the grinder. Still doing a consistent, quiet job of things.
Overdue for a full clean down in to the base. Should do the base more regularly and / or rig up a cover over the Omron timer and power switch.
This grinder is easy to get in to and pull apart and put back together. You don't lose your grind settings.
I recommend using grinder clean tablets more often as they do a good (and food safe) job of taking out any grinds.
Cleaning pics time.

Some good prices going around on Atom at the moment.
I notice Coffee Parts have the Atom for $949 or $944 with their FIRST5 coupon. I don't think the CSCP discount applies to machines or grinders.
Also, if you're in Sydney, I've received an email from a non site sponsor about an instore only sale where you may be able to pickup an Atom for $799.

Thanks Mal. It is tasting pretty good. Fluffy grinds and back to accurate grind timing again. Brew made on the Cafelat Robot [emoji176]Originally posted by Dimal View PostLovely looking result in the cup Matt. Taste good?
I take it that you are happy with the upgrade.
Mal.
And also trying to revive this old thread. Reading on home barista about someone who fitted the 64mm Atom speciality 65 burr set to the original Atom (50mm). Interesting move. Needs new burr set and upper burr carrier.
Guess it’s possible as the Atom series all share the same body but different motor to suit larger size burrs.
Now in the lineup there is Atom (50mm), Atom Speciality 65, and Atom Specialty 75 and Atom Pro. +Options for Titanium or Red Speed burrs.
HB mentions main differences between the Specialty 75 and brew pro as far as i can see are:
- Different 75mm burr geometry
- 920W motor VS 800W
- Vents on the side of the casing
- New design lower skirt
- Bigger diameter adjustment knob for the stepless micrometric regulation system
- Grinding chute
- V60 Holder
- comes standard with the "Blow Up" system
-backlit logo

Hello, has anyone had problems with this model of it locking up and the engine not starting normally?
I'm desperate, I can't think of anything else to try, I've replaced the funnel with the latest version that was supposed to fix the problem...
I leave the video where my problem is best seen:

Yes. Looks similar to what I’ve had happen once or twice - pressing the button actives timer on the display but not motor to grind chamber.Originally posted by Danilat View PostHello, has anyone had problems with this model of it locking up and the engine not starting normally?

I leave the video where my problem
It has happened after coffee got down in to the body and base and on to the circuit board and omron timer.
- What I did to fix mine:
Remove bean hopper.
Vacuum out the top of the grind chamber.
Ideally take the top plate off and chute so you can vacuum out below grind chamber to prevent further grinds falling down below in the next step.
Unplug grinder from power.
Lay grinder down on its side and remove the screws holding the plastic base in place. There’s a very long thin one on the base near the front side of the grinder.
The base should come off fairly easily and if not there is likely a screw still holding it in place.
See what falls out but I would expect there to be a mound of coffee grounds on the board.
More vacuuming. Then reassemble.
Hope this helps.
(Of course after all that there could be an actual problem with the circuit board... but given it has activated the motor once in the video but then only the timer I’d give the deep clean a go first)
