Hey guys my mazzer luigi (about 5 years old) has recently stopped working. The dose pad started becoming stuck and now no longer works. Im assuming it could be the buttons card. I was quoted by a local coffee repair company that it would cost me $300-$350 for the part and then labor which would end up around $500 total. I feel that this might be a little steep ? Any advice or feedback is appreciated !!

They have numerous timer cards listed between $260 and $330, pretty expensive I agree, then labour on top.

Yep...
The cost of repairs when using a (semi)commercial grinder over that of a dedicated home grinder, can be a bit higher but when compared against total cost of ownership, they're hard to beat...
If it is the Push-button membrane, then I would expect this to come in at a lot less than $300+ and a repair that you could probably do yourself...
If a button is cactus, then you're up for a bit more but still a lot less than $300+...
Mal.

In Italy it is normal to write your surname first, then your first name. So the founder of the company was Mr Luigi Mazzer.Originally posted by timmyjj21 View PostThe original designer was Mazzer Luigi. Hence the brand name.
There is no 'Luigi' model! Mini, Super Jolly, Major, Royal, Robur, etc are what's needed.
So for example, if he was Italian, Elton John would be written as John, Elton........ah, bad example.
ok let's use another example, the famous Australiam Supercar driver, Dougal McDougal. If he was in Italy , his name would be written a McDougal, Dougal! Ahhhhhhhhh.......forget it!!!!'
