    Thats correct.

I think we all realised that previous pricing was not sustainable. Grinders were sold below cost to support machine sales.

Hopefully we will have consistent supply from here onwards...

Seems like the old Mazzer distributor is back in business again under another name - prices are certainly a bit higher than he used to offer.

    Hi,

could you please supply me with the contact details of the person who is now importing and supplying mazzer grinders to Australia?
    Thanks
    Hi Lizzy,

Mazzer does not have an exclusive importer and they have never had an exclusive importer. Saeco were the biggest importer and had prices slightly cheaper than everyone else. Maybe this was because they got a volume discount or maybe this was because they were making no money on Mazzer in order to sell their espresso machines. Im not sure, but they appear to be out of the picture now.

Mazzer will sell wholesale to anyone who meets the minimum order quantity. Many roasteries have imported direct in the past and continue to do so. We are one such roastery and have just recently placed an order on behalf of ourselves and a few other people. Our contact details are here. Im sure that there are others who you could contact as well.

    Cheers,

    Luca

    Hi Lizzy,

I suggest that you contact Mazzer Italy.

They will supply you with the details of your nearest distributor.

Updating on grinder status- Mazzer mini is now in stock...On the way (eta late July) are Macap M4 stepless in chrome- which will most likely be a tad less expensive than Mazzers....Bling city!

I recently purchased a Macap M4 and what I can say so far is:

It looks even better on the bench than in the photo.
It is very quiet and smooth.
The doser lever is fluid in its action.
There are only a few grounds left on the doser floor after dosing.
Dosing into the portafilter is accurate with no mess even for a Greenbean like me.
The stepless adjustment is simple to use and works very well.

And most importantly my wife Maxine loves it as well.

    Peter

After a long wait, Im thrilled to announce that good stocks of Mazzer mini are again available.

We will extend a 5% discount on stand alone purchases and 10% to Mazzer minis purchased as part of a HX or dual boiler package.

Its perfectly fine for a market leader to charge a premium just as long as they maintain all the other services:

    1. right level of product stocking
    2. promotional activities to promote product demand
    3. improved channel partner management
    4. training
    5. spares and support coverage

Thats the only way from making a big business even bigger and better.

Im really pleased to announce that the drought is over.

Talk Coffee will receive 10 x mini-manual in silver this week and the new supplier is keen to ensure that there is always stock of Mazzer in Australia.

There will be special CS pricing on the Mazzer mini which we will publish as soon as the formalities conclude.

It will be fantastic to see the brand well represented in Australia.

Why do you think SAECO International threw out the Australian Owner/Management out of SAECO Australia - losing money hand over fist.
    This isnt necessarily the reason.
If they were selling at a loss to boost their espresso machine sales then that was their perogative.
Saeco International should still have been receiving their wholesale price.

If Saeco International sold me a grinder and I sold it to you for $1 what business is it of theirs?
I have to cover the warranty. You are my customer, not theirs.

As for the prices being put up by a new local supplier, that is to be expected if the old one was selling at a loss.

    Simple business maths.

I believe that was the point I was making.

But the underlying fact is that we have been spoiled by the price that SAECO have been offering on Mazzer these past 5 years or so - the prices being offered now appear to be closer to to the mark.

The great thing is that hopefully there will be stock!  [smiley=cheesy.gif]

If the supplier has some, Ill grab a few and they will be around for those who want one. A 5% discount will be possible for CSers buying one alone. Well discount them by 10% in packages...Guess we have to realise that the Mazzer honeymoon is over, but at least the party can now start again as there will be stock for all

Funny, these prices have been the RRP from another of my suppliers for years. I dont think its out of line, if you compare a Super Jolly to the Compak K6 the prices are fairly similar.
