Re: mini mazzer advice please
Gday Dr.Dave,
Couldnt find a Mazzer Manual for you, about the nearest thing I could find was an exploded diagram of a Mazzers innards here so I dont know if thats going to be much help to you or not. I guess if all else fails you could drop a line direct to the Mazzer factory in Italy and ask them to help you out.... Ive always found the factory personnel of most coffee machine manufacturers to be very helpful when ever Ive approached them for assistance, so could be one avenue to try, if you havent already that is?
Mal.

Re: mini mazzer advice please
Must be your IE Dave. Have emailed a copy...Originally posted by Dr Dave link=1183020328/0#8 date=1183207182pm sent back - thanks chris
Also found it on Google however every time I click on it, an error message comes up and Internet Exploer shuts down.
Hence thats why I asked Coffee Snobs...
Does anyone have it as a separate link rather than via wholelottalove?

Re: mini mazzer advice please
Yep, when i first used the mini, i have the same problem too,The mazzer is a great grinder though does have its idiosyncrasies. 2mcm recommends that when dosing the PF, give the lever a good, hard thwack - this reduces the problem of throwing to one side. I still tend to place my PF off centre and pretty much accustomed to it now and no longer have coffee spilling everywhere. A large sized coffee matt to replace the dodgy plastic thing that comes with the mazzer is also a good option.
just do it as quick as you can(seriously "hard thwack"), the problem can be fixed...

Hey there Dr Dave!

As for the spray in the doser...I tend to find that this can be very dependent on variables like, grind, bean type and grind setting. Whilst a fine grind can fall out in clumps, if you are grinding something like monsoon malabar through the same setting it sprays all over the inside of the doser. Bottom line is that I dont think it much matters about the coffee dropping into different segments. Once you start thwacking it will pretty much clear this out anyway.
