  • How much is this Mazzer worth?

Hi, I’ve just purchased a Mazzer mini electronic a and after getting it home I notice there are a few scratches on the front and a big one On the side (I know I should have checked).
I’m after some help from you experts to see if I should return it or just keep it and live with it.
I paid $600 for it, still think it’s a good deal?
    thanks

You haven't given us much to go on.

Was it new or second hand, bought privately or through a retailer, new model or superseded, was it discounted because of the scratches?

No mention of scratches, bought privately, looks the same as all the other electronic A typed but probably 4 years old. I can’t really tell how much use it’s had.

What are the burrs like? If they need replacing I htink they are like $80-$100 or more for OEM.

          Hi,

          Pics are always good...

I don't own a mazzer nor do I have any experience with them but, I don't see many Mazzer mini electronics for sale second hand in the for sale section so that could, should be a good indicator that people are happy with them when they buy them new...

If you look up our sponsors web sites you can see them for sale new at around $1100.00 ish.
For comparison, a MACAP MD4 which is every bit as good as the Mazzer, sells for similar prices new and fetch around the $600.00 ish second hand. So by what you have told us, if it is in good nick it sounds like you may have a good buy there.

For what it's worth, If I were you, I would price new Mazzer mini E's new and second hand myself, maybe check EBay and make a decision...The other deciding factor IMO is, if I could live with the scratches or not...If I didn't think I could, I would take it back, If I could live with them and that was the only thing wrong, then I'd keep it.

There are others here who have these grinders and or have experience with them, maybe they'll chip in soon.

          Hope this helps.

          Cheers.

            Hey,

i think that the first 2 digits of the serial number is the year of manufacture. You can also tell the age by the motor capacitor has the week and year date stamped.

$500 to $600 dollars is about average for a mazzer mini electronic no more than 5 years old on gumtree. Commercial use vs home use is also a factor.

            Cheers Dave

              thanks for all your help!
Ill keep it, scratches are on the back (where the logo is) so ill never see it on the bench anyway.
Other than that it seems pretty top notch.
              Thanks again
