Hey Simon, cheers for that mate, Man that is some serious perseverance there mate!! I think I’m going to go for it, I’m new to the game so maybe I won’t notice if I have the same issue, I guess time will tell, I like everything about it so that’s the way I’m going to go I think, I’ve already decided on the ECM technica, was just twisting myself in knots over which grinder, so decision finally made

I would suggest before you buy a Qamar you take your machine with you, along with a kg or two of beans, and dial it in either in the shop or persons home of it's second hand. A few people have reported issues with them that seem to be manufacturing quality control issues straight out of the box when new. The ones that don't have these issues have good reports, so if you can prove it's ok before taking it home it should be good.

Thanks mate, that’s good advice, I’m actually going to do a barista course (I am a total amateur) at the place I am buying it from and they are going to help me dial it in on the course, I tell you I never thought I’d be so excited about a coffee machine and grinder!!

That's a great idea mate, and trust me I was ridiculously excited about getting a machine and grinder (still am just as nuts about everything coffee). It's really such an amazing and rewarding hobbyOriginally posted by Milkshake View PostThanks mate, that’s good advice, I’m actually going to do a barista course (I am a total amateur) at the place I am buying it from and they are going to help me dial it in on the course, I tell you I never thought I’d be so excited about a coffee machine and grinder!!
