I love this group. So helpful. I just saw one in Launceston for $250 brand new. I’m still in research mode for a grinder.

    So....

I did some digging and contacted the seller, DiPaccio coffee. I asked who makes them and where they are made, they told me they manufacture them in China! They are only new and haven't been for sale long, they offered for me to go to their showroom to check one out in Melbourne (I think...) but I live in Adelaide. I told them I wouldn't be shelling out $570 on an untested/unproven and Chinese manufactured grinder.

I think they are going to find this is the attitude from any reasonable coffee snob. They offered a Mazzer model B for $699 from memory which is a good price but I don't have the cash.

Looks like a clone of a Quamar Q50E, the chassis shape is awfully familiar. Touchpad looks cheap and nasty though, as does the outlet chute.

It's also not sold by any of the normal, reputable coffee equipment suppliers. I'd stay away.

    Could be a PRC knockoff.

Nope, never heard of it either...

Looks very much like a budget copy as you describe 'ninja.

I've never heard of it, or the manufacturer. Next to no info on it online. From the photos I could find it appears to be trying to copy some of the design elements of other well known grinders and be built to a budget. It might be great, might be awful. My suspicion is that it will be particularly average at best. Your coin to gamble. If be interested to know if anyone else had heard of them or heard anything about them.

    Precision Gs6 grinders

    Hi Everyone,

I was traulling through Ebay looking at grinders, I have a Macap MXD at the moment but it's footprint is really large and was looking for something without a doser and a bit smaller.

Found the Precision GS6 which has great aesthetic appeal but I can't find anything in the way of reviews etc. They are about $569 and have an electronic touch panel and no doser. Any thoughts on this?

It is stepless with 60mm burrs and a 250 watt motor, I can't find anything from the manufacturer on line or any reviews.
Working...
