    I only ever washed the plastic parts of my BCG800 and BCG820 in warm soapy water. Don't do what I did on my BCG800 and do it with a scourer, the tinted clear plastic becomes tinted cloudy plastic pretty quickly!

  • Should I clean the actual grinder burrs in my new grinder? Newbie here

    I'm a coffee snob newbie (hope to become a snob, anyway). My grinder has arrived, a Breville Smart Grinder Pro. The instructions don't say to wash the grinders before use, just the hopper and another canister I think. Should I wash up the burr grinder things to make sure they're clean?

    Still waiting on my machine - Breville Bambino Plus. But my beans from Zimmah have arrived!
