I've recently discovered that my Ascaso i-mini grinder has worn down it's carbon brushes. Ascaso has directed me to their Australian distributor (Pelican Rouge) but they don't supply carbon brushes separately as spare parts so they are suggesting I'll need to replace the entire motor... which seems excessive! Carbon brushes are not complex to replace, however I am having issues tracking some down specific to coffee grinder motors. Has anyone had experience with this? Can anyone direct me to a carbon brush supplier/reseller?

What size are the brushes?
You can just buy the correct sized brushes (probably eBay) with the pigtail, and solder them into your holders.
If you can't get them exact size, get next size larger, and file down to fit. They are carbon, so pretty soft to file, but messy.
Pretty sure you will find them to be a generic size, but in a specific holder.
Try altronics if you need them faster. I haven't been in there for years, but if they haven't degenerated to being a toy store (like Jaycar is and dick Smith was), they may still get you close.
