I’m experiencing the same slow delivery problem with my M4D. Taking at least 18-20 second for a 21 gm basket. Maximum you can program is 16 seconds. My replacement burrs are Mazzer. Have tried running beans through it at various grind levels to hopefully season them as suggested by others on the forum with no change to speed. Any thoughts on this or advice greatly appreciated.
The tech that fitted them is more than happy for me to bring it back to him (which I probably will do). Just wondering if anyone is of the opinion that the Mazzer burrs are not a good fit.

Would anyone know what I should ask for my M4D? It’s in a rare white enamel colour (photo is a few posts above). I think maybe I sell it and upgrade. It’s in exceptionally good condition.

Hi, from previous experience some time ago the M4 burrs will not fit as the screw spacing and slightly different. Also the M4D burrs have a more aggressive profile hence the 4D grinds quicker...... so confirm the burrs you are looking at are to suit the M4D model.....Originally posted by bain89 View PostI’m thinking about replacing my M4D burrs too, they are three years old. Can I use the M4 burrs from Jet Black Espresso? Where is the best place to get genuine ones?
Currently 21 grams takes about 10 seconds.
PS. Charlie I just tried your link and it didn’t work for me....

Well, this must have been the 0.1%. Burrs on the bottom with coffee grinds on them were the replaced ones (not M4D) that took a lot longer to grind and the ones on top are the genuine M4D burrs that grind wonderfully.Originally posted by Mono View Post99.9% sure that can’t happen as from memory the screw patten is incompatible, slightly different spacing. As mentioned that is from some time ago as I brought burrs and had to return them as they would not fit.

That could be a possibility, Macap burrs were installed but from another model.

The M4 and M4D are different. Possible that an M4 set (which is a less aggressive cut) may have been mistakenly supplied and fitted.
