As per a request in another thread, here's a run down on the way I single dose my Mazzer Mini, others may well consider it's more pfaffing around than they are prepared to go through, if so please disregard my comments.
If your trying to single dose using the stock standard doser all you need is a scale, available for a few bucks on ebay and a small stiff bristle artists brush, I've cut the handle of the brush so it fits into the doser and at an angle, chisel shaped to scrape the delivery chute clear.
Start with the grinder clear of loose grounds, ideally remove the top burr and give the grinding chamber a good clean, then reassemble, use the brush to clear the chute, then turn the grinder on briefly so that it throws any loose grounds into the doser and sweep out the doser, once you start using this method this step wont be necessary as you do it as part of the process at the end of each grind.
I'm assuming you will have already removed the declumping/safety mesh from the delivery chute.
I've explained the process using the doser, which I did for almost 8 years without drama, I have now modified my Mini with an after market hopper from a Mini E, it does make the process easier/quicker with no doser to sweep out, unfortunately these hoppers are not easy to come by and are a bit fiddly to fit
The process sounds quite complex, in reality it only takes seconds from start to finish.
I know there are excellent grinders on the market now that almost eliminate the need for this process, however if your in the position of having a Mini and either don't want or cant afford a new grinder this explanation may help, I'm happy to answer questions.
To those who dislike or disagree with my way of doing things, sorry I have wasted your time.

- Establish the dose for your machine
- Weigh the dose
- dump the weighed beans into the hopper
- grind, when finished lift the hopper while the machine is still running and brush any left over particles into the grind mechanism
- Scape/brush out the chute, then run the grinder again to throw any loose grinds into the doser
- Dose into your porta filter, I use an Orphan espresso funnel, keeps everything pretty clean, then clean up the doser with your brush, sweep any remaining coffee into the PF
- At this point the grind/delivery path is clear of coffee grounds and ready for the next grind
- Tamp and pull the shot.
- Note well, keep your fingers well away from moving parts, this applies to the top burr area and the delivery chute, the moving parts will also chew up brushes, so don't stick a brush into the delivery chute with the machine running.
