When it does grind, what sort of shot are you getting? (Weight in and out, time, basket brand and rating) from the photos or doesn't look excessively fine but the numbers should prove that.
Are the 6 coffees you tried all really light roast (or the same style of roast)?
Otherwise it looks like you have a faulty unit and should contact your supplier.

No, I didn't make any changes, I just touched the grind button until I pressed it again to make it stop, but the engine doesn't move. There is some kind of protection that blocks the grinder, you hear the sound of a kind of electric switch when you press the button, but it does not turn, so that it turns, if I disassemble over where it grinds and turn the motor shaft manually a little bit, usually then when I press the button again continues to grind, but is a task that has me bored and desperate, I thought that changing the funnel tunnel piece definitively solved this problem but it is not, I have already tested everything that occurs to me.

I've cleaned everything up, the anti clumping zig zag is new, I installed the new part that supposedly fixed this problem! The top is dirty because I have disassembled and mounted that many, many times and ever used it in "on demand" mode, putting only the grains that I was going to grind at the time, I have already cleaned it, I made a couple of videos, the first is seen after cleaning and unclogging:

After I make that coffee, I'm going to try to grind again and... the same old problem.

Seriously, I think I do everything right, but this is not normal, I still do not understand how a grinder of this category, after spending money to buy an upgrade of a part that gives problems to fix it (does not change the free brand) continues to generate the same problem. I'm desperate.

The coffee is meant to build up behind the anti static screen (metal zigzags) and push through by the coffee behind it, this is how the grinder is designed. Once you clean the grinding chamber out the first few grinds will "lose" some coffee as it fills up the nooks and crannies of the chamber and behind the static screen, again this is as per design.
The only thing in all your photos that looks unusual to me is the photo in the top before the upper burr had been removed (same one 338 mentioned), I have never seen ground coffee in that area in the 2+ years I owned an Atom. Everything else looks like mine did.

Danilat did you remove the anti clumping zig zag part and clean it? Also cleaning the plastic chute thoroughly around that point? Maybe 30mm before and after. This seeems the most important spot to be thoroughly cleaned.
I have never seen a dirty throat (top entry) like yours, my top cover has a rubber bush in it which the hopper fits in, usually the throat is clean for me.

Would it help if you removed the anti-clumping zig-zag metal part?

Thank you all for helping me, I followed the steps and thoroughly cleaned all the main parts i was able to dismount, I also used pressurized air to remove debris I did not have easy access to.
Some photos of the process and the condition:

I grinded a coffee and it didn't lock up. It takes a long time to grind fine,I have the feeling that there is a lot of coffee that retains inside the grinder.
The next day, after grinding another coffee, for the time it took, something seemed to be going "wrong", effectively....after grinding, I press the button again and it doesn't work, in it you can hear an electric "click" but the engine doesn't start. It seems that some type of protection detects that this obstructed and is blocked, to start it, I need to turn it off and with the hand, turn a little the wheel grabbing the central screw, I turn it back on and when you press the button the engine already starts, but the coffee that is grinded falls "by force" because if I disassemble you can see how it is blocked again.

I don't think I'm grinding excessively fine, I unblock it with a flange to remove the coffee block and grind it thicker, but it's too thick for espresso.
I'm desperate, the coffee has a light roast, it doesn't release oil, why does a grinder of this range give me these problems? or am I doing something really wrong?
Sorry for my English!

Given that he's already replaced the whole chute and then cleaned it out after that I suspect he might know that already.

It looks like the Atom have a steep and long chute in order to accommodate the large front control panel. I saw a video where it showed you can take the front panel off, then the chute opens as it has a cover and opens like a banana to clean inside.

Sorry to hear you've had problems Danilat. I've been using my Atom for 3 years with no blockages to date and original shute, so suspect as roosterben also said, it could be an over roast- maybe too finely ground as well.

I am the same as Roosterben, only jammed after an oily roast. As above, clean and change beans.

What beans are you using?
I also experienced this problem with the Atom but only using beans from Merlo which are consistently over roasted.
When you clean out the schute are you using hot soapy water to remove the coffee oils and also you need to clean the grind chamber.
I used it without issue for about 5 months before the Merlo beans blocked it 3-4 times.Last edited by roosterben; 26 October 2019, 01:24 PM.
