Just went from a Breville Barista Express to a Lelit Victoria PL91T and Macap M2D grinder from JetBlack Espresso after reading through lots of forum posts and watching a bunch of YouTube videos. The flavours are instantly much strong and better than the Breville could produce, even on a good day.

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to try the grinder as it wasn't on display in the showroom. When I got home I realised it's only got one timed setting and it's restricted to between about 4 and 9 seconds (which isn't enough time to fill the double basket) – and you have to lift the unit up to adjust it with a tiny dial underneath! If I had known that I probably would have gone for the Sette 270W (which was my original plan) or even the Eureka Specialita – as they both have a screen to adjust the time, and also allow for more than one setting so I could measure a single and double dose.
Is it just a case of getting used to it and I'm just being too picky (and inexperienced)? My thoughts were I could try and sell it now while it still has the full warranty etc and get one of the other options. Otherwise I assume the best way to dial it in is for a single shot then just press the button again when I have a double basket? Then just awkwardly adjust the time with the small dial as I change the type of beans?
