So, wheres the kitchen in your house? This is obviously a photo of the Coffee Room. ;D At least youve got a nice view over Lake Graeme, not that youll exactly be sitting around admiring it while waiting for your coffee to get ground though!
Im not sure as to where Lake Graeme is Greg but...no its not near here! lol
Ive never heard of it either... Graeme seemed a good name for the unknown black thingy in the Sunbeam PF so it seemed an equally good name for an unknown lake! ;D Plus it half sounded like a real name too!

nope the beans take no time at all to go through.
The Mod works well Sweep mod is great as its sweeps clean both top and lower star, the plastic baffle to sop the grounds from spraying out all over the place its much brrggr

Re: Out with the Nemox LUX in with the Mazzer Majo
OK Im now fairly sure we need new burs, and maybe new springs under the stator bur.
this is just for tg
Todays morning coffee was a shambles...I learned a valuable lesson.
Yesterday after the big clean and mod I "Started" the big dial in but didnt really get to finish it to the stage of being "happy" with the result, tho I did feel all that was needed was a tiny bit coarser and that was going to be it.....SILLY ME
So we ended up having to have 3-4 goes at getting a coffee that was anything like ok....Anna went back to the stovie and some old preground while I madly tryed to get the grind right, which I dint really do before the pancakes were ready....DOH!!!
Start the dial in and when you think you are finished "PULL AT LEAST 3 SHOTS TO PROVE IT" others might say that 3 is not enough :-/
Today:
Im going to try a mod that makes the grinds fall down into the bottom of the doser and not pile 30 feet high ontop of the nut in the doser.
Take of the butter lid sweep mod and use tape..they keep coming off as well as being a tad stiff
Re: Out with the Nemox LUX in with the Mazzer Majo
Ok WOW
Thanks Reubster we will prolly get some next week when Pedro resurfaces =)
The state of the insides of this poor thing!
There are quite a few little spots for gounds to "hide", maybe bymonthly clean/service is required.
Got the Burs out and cleaned "thoroughly" reassemble and reinstalled, all went very well.
Made a moded mod on the doser, lid of "Western Star" butter container cut into strips then cut 6 pieces about 15mm x 25mm...fire up the heatgun, Glue into place of the "middle star" so that they protrude below the star by about 2mm.....(not enough) 2 of them fell off....heat gun not hot enough, or dust still on the fins, so metho wipe-let the gun heat up and reglue on at about 4mm below..GOLD
Now for Dialing...
First was too fine...moved a whole number Coarser...too course...1/2 way back was not bad...might just coarsen a tad for the W/E breakie shots..
Re: Out with the Nemox LUX in with the Mazzer Majo
Well done snooze................well expect a full report in triplicate.
Regarding the burrs...http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1189124585....this was my experience and I can definately recommend replacement if required.
