I agree - its best to support the sight sponsors when prudent to do so, and the price you pay includes peace of mind and after-sales service

Ultimately its too much throughput for a grinder second hand. I also note that second hand on the evil bay they sell for high 400s to high 500s and thats without knowing their history and being able to see them most of the time. The one thats on ebay for example at $625 is not a buy it now price, and will go up - I suspect that it will sell for several hundred higher at least.

Since considering the above I have placed an order, subject to numbers, with Chris at Talk Coffee for $775 delivered to Brisbane inc GST with a tax invoice and associated support from a very well regarded CS sponsor. To my mind that is excellent value and thanks to Chris for trying to organise same. Those who are interested should get in now.

    Cheers

Hehehe, nothing evil about spending $625 on a SJ... Id be calling that heavenly  :-)
Id be keeping in mind that the talk is that these are grey imports with a manual mini style switch. No labour warranty is included and of course no GST. If it breaks, hopefully somebody can/will repair it and hopefully Australian spec. components will do the job.

Purchases from that site always come with a caveat emptor. I hear this bloke from Talk Coffee had a real good deal on SJ last week :P

Thanks people - yep thought that might be a bit excessive for somthing that you would then want for a long time of trouble free use.

    Cheers

Think you would need to give this machine a very thorough inspection before handing over any money Oz :-?. Depending on the price being asked it might be worthwhile if you subsequently have to spend money on repairs later on.....

? Year or two old but that many kgs...seems quite a few miles to me - im not worried about the burrs because they would get replaced, but what about dosing chamber wear and motor etc?
