Just to acknowledge Charlie from Jetblack Espresso’s advice at post #3 about parts required to do Nemox Lux stepless mod. Much appreciated.
Have just ordered parts from Jetblack with added bonus of freight free to their Hobart shop. Most welcome for us freight weary Tasmanians.
Getting these parts for latest tip shop bargain find. As far as I can tell an unused Nemox for $18! These really are a compact unit and am planning a single dose tube to replace the hopper and make it even more diminutive.
Will be using this with my recently acquired Hario Switch. I am really enjoying the simplicity and repeatability of the immersion brews from this. James Hoffman’s recent observation about the effects of adding the coffee grounds to water, rather than pouring onto a bed of grounds, is intriguing and does seem to result in a faster pour down.

Just for reference in case anyone is considering this but owns an older Isomac version of this grinder (model says MC INOX on the base, make year 2001)
This version has a single screw behind the hopper, which fixes the rear panel to the plastic burr carrier plus holds the top of the burr carrier to the gearbox. it doesn't have the 2 screws at the side like other versions
In other versions the burr carrier is screwed to the gearbox with a countersunk screw that doesn't go through the rear panel
The burr carrier still has the 2 holes that are present on other models, you'll just need to drill some holes in the rear panel to be able to mount the adjuster shaft to the machine
I'll take some photos when I get my parts to do this

Glad I found this thread after some googling and forums searching
I'm picking up a Nemox Lux on Sunday and I had planned on getting the parts from Europe, but this will be MUCH cheaper
My next option was going to be designing something to have it 3D printed, but for about $50 it's not worth spending a day in AutoCAD figuring something out

That’s a good idea, so far I’ve just been screwing in the hopper and somewhat lining up the numbers on that as a reference point, it’s not the best but gives me a rough guide and I’m able to get repeatable results

Looks great. And awesome that you could get parts locally, wish that was an option for me when I did it. If you want to have some sort of indication on the adjustment collar there’s a couple of options. The easiest is to mark it manually with a white paint marker. The other option is to cut down the one that you had to take off when fitting the worm drive adjuster. You need to cut the outside off it and sit it on top. This is what I did and it work well, but you need to be able to do it with a router in a rig or on a lathe for a neat result.Originally posted by Awarua View PostThanks Mike and Charlie from Jet Black Espresso, finished up my modding last night and pulled a couple of nice shots this morning.

From what I've found the Nemox Lux and the Lelit Fred PL043MMI are very similar, maybe come out of the same factory?

I did this mod to my old Nemox Lux. It was a great mod and I highly recommend going ahead with it. Like you I looked for suppliers of these parts locally, but wasn't able to find any so ended up ordering them from Europe and the US.Originally posted by Awarua View PostHi all,
I recently purchased a Nemox Lux from the buy and sell section and have been really enjoying it compared to my Delonghi grinder which never ground fine enough for espresso.
I'm wanting to convert it to stepless and have found this guide but require a couple of parts from a Iberital Challenge grinder and was wondering if people know where to source these parts within Australia, I've found a supplier from the UK but prefer to buy local.
These are the parts I need:
Adjustment Rod
Knob
Thanks
