    Nice work!

Some possibilities for the illuminated button, RS Components part numbers:

    1758940
    1115826 (latching though not momentary)
    1115823

Mazzer Auberins Mod - layout choices and button spec

I'm midway through a 1999 Mazzer Super-jolly restomod project. So far I've I've done the "resto" part, and am making good progress on the mods!

I've swapped the doser for an OEM funnel, and have mocked-up the Auberins timer in an external box to check it all works and I've got the wiring right (I have!).

I've been um-ing and ah-ing about layout of the timer parts in the mazzer body:

Having the timer on the left side (as you look at it) makes the most sense - replacing the big mains cable grommet hole (mains cable re-routed out of the bottom-plate).

However, this didn't leave anywhere obvious for the 3 timer push-buttons. I've finally decided to have two of them (single and double) in the bottom two corners of the motor cover plate. Really pleased with this - they look great there, and are easy to access:

The third/final button is the "grind on demand" momentary button. It's temporarily sitting in the cable grommit hole in the above photo - but the timer is going there. What I'd like to do is have this button replace the on/off indicator lamp on the front of the machine - again, should look pretty neat, and would be easy to get to.

This is where I need some help.....

Ideally I need a momentary, Normally off push button, which is illuminated via mains voltage. I'm really struggling to find one of these - they all seem to be either illuminated by 12v, or enormous ugly expensive things.

I'm sure I've seen somebody do exactly this (it was even green!) - but for the life of me I can't find it.

Does what I'm looking for even exist? Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Working...
