    Re: Rossi Gai Grinders

I have a Gino Rossi Im restoring.
    It dwarfs my Macap.

The Macap with hopper fits comfortably under my kitchen overhead cupboards but the Rossi is so huge that the bottom of its hopper is level with the top of the Macaps hopper.

You might want to get the measurements of the machine in question.

Also, My Macap weighs about 9kg, my Rossi weighs 19kg.

Hi there, you will need to clarify the "Gai" part of the name you have given.

In any case the Gino Rossi or GR brand grinders are a very well known commercial cafe grinder so in terms of whether the grinder is "ok" (and I am assuming you mean for home / domestic use......I would say it should be more than ok in terms of it grinding coffee, given the usual constraints of its condition.

Take note however that cafe sized grinders are tall enough to get in the way of household overhead cupboards and even if you do manage to get it under the cupboard you probably wont be able to put beans in the hopper unless you pull it out from under the overhang every time.

Commercial type equipment therefore is not always "ok" for domestic use depending on the individual situation.

    Cheers,
    Attilio.
