    Update:
I got in touch with DiPacci, and they sent me new burrs which were easy to fit, and now it only takes about 12 seconds to grind the same 18g.
BUT i'm still dialing in the grind size again, as with the old burrs the dial was just below 1.. where as now i'm down to about .7 and it was still too coarse, so i'll try a little finer tomorrow morning

I am putting through 15g in an empty hopper. I think about 11 seconds is correct into my VST basket. This give a 45ml pour in 25 seconds...on average. It does vary.

It is a lovely grinder and is compact...after my Mazzer Robur. I loved the Robur but a bit impractical.

These are awesome grinders and can't recommend them enough. I use mine with a scale and dial it in every couple of days to try and keep a consistent ratio

What espresso machine are you using? (BEK920 here)
I'm wondering if i need to turn down the pressure on mine a tad too.. it's usually up around 9BAR i think...

Wow that is running super quick. I normally go with a 1:2 ratio for my brews. Today I ran the grinder for 11sec on 2.5 and ended up with 19g of ground coffee. Had my shot run for just under 27s to end up with about 35g of espresso. I make lattes so I prefer the higher ratio compared to the 1:1.5 that others go for. Where did you buy it from? I have read that there is a bit of variance between grinders so not everyone will be getting similar results on similar settings (even with the same beans).

Well i just put mine up to just below 2, and with 18g of grind i got 40g of espresso in 20sec
So that seems too fast to me?

Decent turn around in the last fortnight. I like to support local, but a 12 month warranty on something like this shouldn't be limited to a year. Only major issue would be if there was a big problem with the burrs on arrival from italy as the electrics hsould be simple to fix.
I just pulled the trigger for one from these guys too. $570 landed. Savings probably well justifying choice.

Without the weight of the beans pushing down into the grinder, yesterday it took 1 minute to fully grind 18g of beans. Today i filled the hopper, and it was a lot quicker, but i forgot to set the scales with the weight of the portafilter before grinding, so just had to guess. The extraction was WAY too slow, so i may have over filled a little. The grind also LOOKS a little clumpy, so not sure if that means i'm too fine? But if i go coarser, then the extraction is too fast.. Hope this all makes sense I'm kind of wishing i'd gone with the baratza sette 270.. but we'll see.. For me, i got it in AUS for $750, so wasn't really worth the savings (maybe could have saved $150 or so?)

Just on this, I've been pretty used to using the Breville smart grinder which displays the grind size on the screen as you turn the dial. So the change to the non-step grinder approach might be a big adjustment for me.
