I took the scody to my work space and use the XL at home because it is much more quieter and a bit quicker than the anfim. Also the small footprint is great and very little retention in the chute.
The anfim is great at my warehouse and I think the taste in the cup could be slightly better with the anfim.
Using rocket giottos with both grinders

There are 3 measurements that are relevant to retention. Total grind chamber retention, stale coffee exchange, and dose to dose consistency

Well which retention are you referring to L3N ?
Grind to Grind retention....
Or
Grind chamber retention ?
Both fall under retention. But as we now know, for instance Oils ain't Oils.
And either is grinder retention.
Single dosing weighed in/out, and freshest of beans overcome anything in this way.
Now to answer the OP's question.....
Go with the Anfim. You wont regret it.
The question is not dissimilar to ......... Which Mustang should I pick?
1/ DJR's current Group A Mustang?
Or
2/ Allan Moffat's all time classic, one of only six ever, and hand made at that.
1970's Boss TransAm 302 Mustang.
Again .... No question really if given a choice.

Eureka xl vs anfim scody
I recently bought a eureka xl grinder to replace my anfim scody 75mm titanium.
Both are pretty good for home use.
I'm wondering which you would prefer paired up with a rocket Giotto machine.
Cheers
