    TG

Looking at pics from previous threads the thing looks identical from the outside.

Maybe they have imporoved the internals to give a more consistent grind. I am still dialling mine in and on 13 it gives a fine grind for my 6910.

It still sends grinds all over the place like a crowd at a rummage sale.

Early days so I hope it continues to be all good.

I posted a while back saying I returned my faulty em0480 which kept getting finer and finer despite continually playing around with the washers. Had to wait a while to get a replacement and at the time I assumed they were tweaking the model to make them more reliable. I can say now with my new em0480 which is about a month old and does 500g per week that it is infinitely more reliable than my old one. It grinds like clockwork between 14-16 depending on age of beans, weather and all the usual variables. Cosmetically it looks identical although I havent been game to pull it apart yet. But it does seem to be better than my old one. Not sure if this is just a fluke or if they actually have been working on them to make them more reliable.

Youd have to post some pictures so we could see if there are any cosmetic changes.
Beside that Id hope the changes are to things like the inconsistant grind and settings.

Either that or he was making excuses just to shut you up (you go away happy knowing you got "the latest upgraded model").

    Refined EM0480

I ordered one of these nearly 3 months ago as the retailer didnt have any in stock at the time. Yesterday they called me to pick it up. When I did I asked them why there was a delay in getting them in and the guy said there had been a "refinement" of the model which held up production but he could not give me any specific details.

As this is the first EM0480 I have seen does anyone know if or what "refinements" they are referring to?
