Absolutely the Mazzer if you can afford it. Ive always had one with my Silvia and sold a spare Silvia I had to a friend whod just bought a doserless Rocky for it. It worked OK but was 1) noisier, 2) slower, 3) messier, 4) not infinitely adjustable and 5) was set to about 2 or 3 out of 25 on the fineness scale to get the right extraction, whereas the Mini has plenty of room to move finer if necessary.

What Greg said- With grinders you get what you pays for....Every time
Have a read through the grinder reviews for more info.
Hey greg I read your write up of on the m/m v compac k3t it was a great read lots of info and going off that artical i bought the k3t as at just under $500 i couldnt justify the extra dosh now all i need is to upgrade my breville ikon and itll be smooth sailing
Great GTS, glad it was of some assistance! Ive not used the Touch but presuming its the same minus the doser Im sure its a great unit, and at a great price! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Thats a great review Greg, you even recorded the noise sound!
Im thinking a Compak as well (K3 Touch) - I presume K3 Elite and K3 Touch has a similar noise level?
My big consideration for a grinder is that it has to be quiet so I can grind my coffee in the morning
without waking up my housemates. In this case I think Mazzer Mini wins.
Ive got both the K3T and the Mini on my bench at the moment and the K3T is definitely the noiser of the two.
I say that the K3T does enough of the job for a home grinder, but if you can afford it I say go the Mini. Of all the grinders that Ive tried at home, and trust me when I say that Ive tried quite a few, the Mini is my fave home grinder.
