I don't know if you do other brews? but if you do it's worth keeping and just use the Niche exclusively for espresso.

If it's really $150 to replace I'd leave it and try to sell it as is.

I reckon this is the best idea, I had the M4D, a great grinder and now have the Niche. Will stick with single dosing but not sure if a flat would be more suitable but unlikely I will taste the difference anyway.Originally posted by tintub View PostMaybe I should just keep it so I can choose between conical / flat
Been thinking about the P64 or the new Mignon SD but will need to wait for people’s feedback…… you have that opportunity now to try both together, that is what I should have done ……suggest you make the most of it

Macap M4D - worth replacing display?
I have a Macap M4D with a faded display. Still usable to e.g. set times, and otherwise in very good nick. If all goes well I'll be getting a Niche Zero in December (straight from Niche), and will be probably end up selling this one. I'm trying to figure out whether it is worth me upgrading the display before I sell (assuming I can get hold of a display). Talk Coffee has them listed but out of stock for $150. When I bought the Macap (2016) it was the flavour of the month, but now it seems people have moved on to Niche, Eureka etc., and I don't want to spend $150 on a grinder no-one wants to buy! Maybe I should just keep it so I can choose between conical / flat
Sorry for fairly dumb question, I'm not sure where it belongs. Thanks in advance for any responses though!
